Heck, even purple items can be nice/useful to the right person.

True story: went to Yak's and adv'd "dragon sword 14-20 req 7 500g"; instantly, someone said "I'll take it". In the trade window, instead of 500g, there was a sword - max purple dragon, dmg 12% H^50%, H +24, only drawback was req 12. Of course, I accepted it (PDQ, I might add), THEN I asked him why he didn't want to save it for later in the game - he said it takes too long to build up the skill. I'm still using that sword.

Not strange. I use a melee ranger in PvE, and I've seen him outlive the godly W/Mo with Mending quite a lot. That's all skill based, and has nothing to do with your equipment. Makes for great bragging rights, though. Just try not to dance too hard on his dead corpse, m'kay?

Thanks for all the replys, im tired of arguing with tards trying to say to me greens are the most rare items in the game and hardest to find. I also had someone try to tell me there was only one of each green in the game... i made him feel stupid 5 minutes later

and woot, your droks sword may have all nice mods. His axe and shield may have been totally clean and not even max...

What makes Greens less rare than golds is that greens drop from specific monsters. Sure, golds can drop from anything, but it is a very sparce drop rare, and even then getting a gold with worthwhile mods is much rarer.

Greens, though having a limited drop rate themselves, do drop, somewhat frequently, from their respective bosses.

There's two places where golds drop frequently and that's from locked and hall of heroes chests, and everyone knows that MOST of those are crap. :P
